Flowering Inferno Vol.2
So there’s been some goings on in the Sonido del Valle studio, lots of tape on the floor, VU’s in the red and the smell of burning vacuum tubes.
The new Flowering Inferno record is finally signed, sealed and nearly ready for delivery. Its definitely more of a departure into Reggae & Dub culture this time around, all infused with the latin music culture that makes Colombia such a marvelous place to live and record. I’ve been getting more and more enthused by the works of people like King Tubby & Bunny Lee, so as a result most of the record was recorded on Ampex 4 track. Its been challenging both working with tape and keeping all the machines in shape in such Tropical heat. It has been a very dry summer here in Cali and sometimes I fear that my whole studio might go up flames one day, I guess that will be a real inferno.
