Quantic’s debut release on Tru Thoughts.

This is where it all began for Will Holland.

Vinyl out of print. MP3 available.

Here’s what we said about this album at the time of its release:

“This is Quantic’s debut 12” release on Tru Thoughts, showcasing three quality tunes.

‘Life In the Rain’ builds gradually, starting with Rhodes and spoken word, before Quantic shifts the track into jazzier climes, with beats and bass holding down what has become a sure-fire floorfiller for more open-minded dancefloors.

‘Common Knowledge’ is six minutes of head-nodding funk, replete with funky guitar and double bass (played by Will) and continues building with saxophone and dobra (played by Will’s sister Lucy), before the soulful vocal hook comes in.

‘Time Is The Enemy’ is a deeper drum-led track with a haunting piano line, which illustrates Quantic’s ability to reach beyond the dancefloor.”

“Brighton’s Tru Thoughts is bubbling under nicely with this special piece of dancefloor and bedroom floor-worthy bop”
Jockey Slut

“Life in the Rain works some cool little Rhodes and upright bass over taut breaks, and definitely gets the floor moving. Common Knowledge – the stand out cut – is a slower, head-nodder of a groove, with some excellent sax work and a neat gritty vocal hook to nag the ears. Time is the Enemy is a nice relaxed, introspective groove to lose yourself in”

“A killer EP, 3 damn fine tracks and each will be getting Jelly Jazz plays!”

“Excellent-top quality Tru Thoughts material-nice one. This will be huge – more please!”
